Coach Bimler has been coaching basketball for the past 15+ years. He most recently coached high school basketball at Chatfield High School, where he served as the Women's Head Varsity Coach from 2019 - 2022. During his tenure, Chatfield had three consecutive winning seasons for the first time in 10 years. Coach Bimler currently serves as the High School Girls Director for Colorado Premier and is a Nike sponsored EYBL Coach for Mountain West Premier. He helped lead Premier to their first ever Nike National appearance in 2023 as his U15 team finished 2nd in the country. Prior to his stint at Chatfield, he served as the L3 Head Coach and Men’s Varsity assistant at Bear Creek High School, a varsity assistant at Columbine, and coached at Dakota Ridge in their youth program. Coach Bimler holds an engineering degree from Colorado School of Mines and lives with his wife in Green Mountain.
Coach Rhoades brings a wealth of experience and success to her role in women’s basketball coaching. Most recently, she served as the assistant coach at Regis University in Denver, Colorado, from 2019 to 2022. During her time at Regis, she helped one athlete achieve All-RMAC First Team honors for two consecutive years, while also mentoring a player who received the RMAC Defensive Player of the Year award and another who was named RMAC Co-Freshman of the Year.
Prior to her role at Regis, Rhoades excelled as the top assistant and recruiting coordinator at Black Hills State University in Spearfish, South Dakota, from 2017 to 2019. There, she assisted the Yellow Jackets to an impressive 40-19 overall record, with five players earning All-RMAC recognition. Her efforts helped lead the team to its second NCAA Division II Women’s Basketball Tournament appearance in 2018 and secured the highest NWBCA ranking in program history at No. 13 during the 2018-19 season.
Rhoades began her coaching journey as a graduate assistant at Arizona State University, where she contributed to the team's Pac-12 Conference Championship in 2016. She also has experience coaching at the high school level, having worked with Mullen High School and the Colorado Premier Basketball Club.
A native of Oswego, Illinois, Rhoades holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Illinois Wesleyan University, earned in 2013, and a Master’s degree in Family and Human Development from Arizona State University, completed in 2017. With her extensive experience and passion for the game, Coach Rhoades continues to inspire and empower her athletes to reach their full potential on and off the court.
This is Solveig Nelson's first year as an assistant coach at Monarch. She most recently served as a varsity assistant at Chatfield Senior High. Solveig played basketball at Dakota Ridge High School. She was the team captain her senior year and got second team all conference. After high school, she continued her basketball career at Luther College. During her time there, the team made it to the second round of the National Tournament in 2015 and won the Conference Championship in 2016.
Solveig graduated from Luther College with degrees in Nordic Studies and Business Management. She now works at Leprino Foods Company as a Supply Chain Portfolio Analyst.
Coach Sasha brings experience and a passion for developing student-athletes both on and off the court. As a seasoned, former educator and coach, she spent many years as an English teacher and assistant coach at Legacy High School where her leadership helped guide the team to a few state tournament appearances.
In 2023, Sasha transitioned to Standley Lake High School as the Varsity Assistant coach. She played a pivotal role in helping the team break the women's program record for tournament success--–reaching the Great Eight for the first time in history.
Coach Sasha’s philosophy centers around the power of hard work, discipline, and teamwork. She believes in the holistic development of her players, emphasizing not just athletic growth but academic excellence and personal responsibility. Her goal is to instill the values of dedication, resilience, and self-belief in every player, preparing them for success both on the court and in life.
In her spare time she enjoys wake surfing, reading mystery-thrillers, gardening, and attending sporting events and live music. She is very excited to be a part of the Monarch family! Sko, Yotes!
Coach Juliette has been coaching college women's basketball the past two years at Jessup University in Rocklin, California as an assistant. During her tenure, their team broke their school's win record, made it to the conference playoffs, and the national tournament. Through hard work, dedication, and teamwork, they were able to achieve many milestones. Coach Juliette has also served as private skills trainer focusing on fundamentals, skill work, and building confidence on the court. Prior to coaching basketball, she played four years of college basketball at Jessup University. They won the GSAC conference championship in 2020 and had two National Championship tournament appearances in 2028 and 2020. She studied Christian leadership with a double minor and has her master's in leadership and executive coaching. She is excited to join Monarch and get to work!
Coach Clay White is a proud product of the Monarch community, the Boulder Valley School District (BVSD), and Louisville, Colorado. He attended Louisville Elementary, Louisville Middle, and graduated from Monarch High School in 2005. With 13 years of coaching experience, Coach White is also a varsity football and baseball coach at Monarch and is returning for his second stint as a basketball coach and is eager to contribute to one of Monarch’s most successful and proud athletic programs.
In his eleventh year of teaching, Coach White currently teaches 7th and 8th grade social studies at Louisville Middle School. He holds undergraduate degrees in History and Criminal Justice from MSU Denver, a Master’s Degree in Education from the University of Northern Colorado, and is pursuing a second Master’s Degree in American History from Gettysburg College.
Outside the courts, fields, and classrooms of BVSD, Coach White spends as much time with his wife, Zoe—also an educator in BVSD—and their two-year-old daughter, Kennedy.
Coach White believes the classroom and athletic arenas are the ultimate preparation for real-world challenges, instilling life lessons like discipline, teamwork, and resilience. He is committed to creating an environment of positivity and inclusiveness that empowers individuals to reach their full potential while learning the value of collaboration and respect, and preparing them to lead with integrity and empathy.
